Department Overview
Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations and maintenance, as well as Power Generation operations. The Team manages over 100,000 circuit miles of electric distribution lines and over 18,000 circuit miles of interconnected transmission lines, and operates and maintains PG&E's hydroelectric, fossil, solar generation, and battery storage facilities, providing approximately 5,300 megawatts of generating capacity for customers.  Electric Operations is comprised of approximately 6,500 coworkers.
 
Position Summary
Manages and administers company Electric Distribution Wildfire and Core programs, a grouping of project work or a special customer offering with an annual financial budget.  Ensures program is operating effectively.  Provides oversight, governance, communication, training, reporting, and overall process and project management. Responsibilities typically include some or most of the following in support of Program Management to ensure attainment of program metrics/objectives.
•    Managing relationship with and providing direction to key stakeholders
•    Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts
•    Developing, measuring, and reporting on success of the program  
•    Partnering with the Marketing organization, vendors and external partners to develop and implement strategies to reach appropriate customer audience at the appropriate time
•    Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners
•    Partnering with Regulatory and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meeting with regulators.
•    Identifying stakeholders and communicate within and outside of PG&E    
•    Developing and/or implementing policies and procedures
•    Identifying new partners, technologies, and delivery channels 
 
 This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
 
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
 
A reasonable salary range is:

  • Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area)    $122,000.00
  • Mid Base Salary (Bay Area)    $158,000.00
  • Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area)    $194,000.00

 

  • Minimum Base Salary (California)    $116,000.00
  • Mid Base Salary (California)    $150,000.00
  • Maximum Base Salary (California)    $184,000.00

 
Job Responsibilities
•    Accountable for all aspects of managing one or more major company programs. This includes driving forward unit attainment, managing the financials, data requests, and all other aspects of the program as the SME for that work area.
•    Partner across the business to provide accurate unit and financial forecasts for the program and improve the accuracy of forecasting at the program management level across multiple stakeholders. 
•    Applies broad expertise and advanced knowledge to wide-ranging issues.
•    May act as a team lead and provide direction to less experienced employees.
•    Works with Directors and Managers across functions to influence decisions.
•    Communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences using a variety of media.
•    Integrates industry knowledge related to data into everyday business practices and decision making. 
•    Provides others with guidance around complex industry regulatory and compliance environment and considerations.
•    Creates new and complex data models to facilitate business decisions.
•    Provides direction on overall program.
•    Develops new or revises existing scopes of work to ensure compliance standards and deliverables are established.
 
Qualifications
Minimum:
•    Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
•    8 years of related experience or equivalent
 

Desired:
•    Masters Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
•    PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
