Regulatory & Interoperability
Remote Role – U.S. or Canada
The purpose of this role is to work with the product manager to build-out features into user stories for regulatory and other assigned interoperability features.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Thoroughly review and understand relevant government regulations by analyzing information provided through official government websites
- Identify how these regulations translate into specific features or requirements within Sunrise.
- Develop user stories that clearly define how to gather and process the required data within the Sunrise environment. Maintain user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to implement these features and ensure compliance with the identified regulations.
- Under the direction of the product manager, work to provide application solutions for assigned business areas.
- Interact with business users to understand new business requirements and enhancement requests
- Serve as liaison between application technology vendors, internal IS groups, and business users.
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with development, QA, and product teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Support system implementations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
- Master’s degree preferred
Work Experience
- 7+ years’ business analyst experience
- 5-10 years’ healthcare industry experience
- Subject matter expert in regulatory requirements and interoperability
- Able to independently research and analyze complex government regulations.
- Experienced at breaking down regulatory requirements, including FHIR.
- Skilled at translating features into compelling user stories
- Solid understanding of regulatory challenges and strategy for staying current in this field
- Experienced at working with development and QA teams while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Sunrise experience preferred
TRAVEL
Occasional travel may be required for meetings, conferences, or training.

This is a remote U.S. or Canada-based role.
