  • Your workstation is set up in a safe and secure location at home with stable and reliable internet, not less than 25 Mbps.
  • 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, Philippines Time.
  • Salary: Php 130,000 -140,000/month

About the Role

Reporting to an Australian Finance Manager, you will contribute to enhancing financial controls and processes, ensuring robust financial management and strategic insights. Your role will focus on delivering accurate month-end financials, completing reconciliations, and ensuring timely tax submissions. You will work towards automating manual processes, streamlining Accounts Payable and Receivable functions, and assisting the Financial Manager with ongoing improvements. Your involvement will drive efficiency and contribute to the development of financial intelligence, ensuring the organization maintains strong financial governance and timely reporting

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, monitor, and analyze financial data to identify excess costs and trends.
  • Promote and develop the concept of Cost Center reporting.
  • Perform and close off month-end processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Oversee supplier invoices and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely bank reconciliations, accruals, and creditor payment cycles.
  • Review financial reports for accuracy and ensure no outstanding issues in balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare and sign off monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations with the Financial Manager.
  • Implement and facilitate authorization processes for Accounts Payable.
  • Manage and oversee the Expense Me Pro credit card system, ensuring proper authorization and coding of expenses.
  • Prepare and submit BAS/GST and FBT returns and analyze income tax expenses.
  • Assist with the identification and improvement of inefficient or manual processes.
  • Support colleagues with data requests and help resolve queries related to processes and procedures.
  • Calculate and ensure timely rebates are processed and self-invoicing is complete.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Financial Manager and assist with operational efficiency improvements.
  • Handle overflow inquiries from other departments, supporting the financial team as needed.
  • Report on and reconcile fixed assets and CAPEX monthly.

Experience & Software

  •  Proven Australian experience in a similar financial role, with a solid understanding of local financial accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial data, particularly in an Australian business context.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders across various levels, with experience working within Australian businesses.
  • Familiarity with Australian expense management systems like Expense Me Pro is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines effectively, especially within the Australian financial reporting cycle.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools, with a strong understanding of tools commonly used in the Australian finance industry.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements, with a focus on efficiency in Australian business environments and financial operations.
