Executive Compensation Lawyer
US - US - Remote
Our client, an industry-leading technology company, is seeking a talented and experienced Executive Compensation Lawyer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a deep background in global stock programs and compliance, with significant experience advising on global equity and stock plans. This is a fully remote role, with an anticipated duration of 4 to 6 months and a strong likelihood of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain global equity compensation programs, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Provide strategic guidance on global bonus plans, including international inquiries regarding bonus offerings by U.S. parents or local employers.
- Advise on executive compensation disclosures, bonus programs, and communications with stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Manage securities filings, tax reporting, recharge agreements, and global filings, including China SAFE and South Africa Compliance, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with M&A executive compensation due diligence and adaptation to new pay transparency laws for contract inclusions.
- Provide legal counsel and collaborate with internal teams and external law firms on risk management, insurance, and compensation-related matters.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of legal experience with a strong emphasis on executive compensation, with recent experience favoring compensation over benefits.
- In-depth knowledge of rules and regulations governing stock plans for global organizations.
- Extensive experience with restricted stock units, global securities compliance, and supporting stock plan administration teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex communication strategies and compliance processes for a multinational workforce.
- Strong understanding of securities filings, tax reporting, international regulations impacting compensation programs, and recharge agreements.
Compensation, Benefits & Location:
This role offers a range of competitive compensation starting at $175,000 and a highly competitive benefits package in the alternative legal services marketplace that includes health benefits, 401K and more. Axiomites predominately work remotely, with the exception that some clients require on-site presence.
