Position Summary
We’re on the hunt for an Event Marketing Manager who knows how to turn a simple event into a meaningful conversation starter. At Swing Education, we believe events aren’t just about booths and banners—they’re about creating the right moments to connect with school leaders, HR teams, and decision-makers who need our support. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind events that grab attention, spark real conversations, and grow awareness of Swing’s substitute teacher solutions. You’ll team up with Sales to make sure every event leads to new relationships, real opportunities, and measurable results. And you’ll help shape and scale our event strategy so we can reach even more schools, administrators, and communities who need what Swing has to offer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bring the Swing brand to life at every event. You’ll develop and lead an annual event plan built to connect with K-12 school decision-makers, HR leaders, business partners, and community organizations. Your focus: drive new leads, spark real conversations, and strengthen relationships that help schools and subs thrive.
- Own the full event experience. From local district meetups to major education conferences, you’ll plan and run multiple events each month (both in-person and virtual). You’ll handle everything—budgeting, timelines, vendors, logistics, and communication strategy—to make sure every event delivers value.
- Build smarter event systems. You’ll create and manage an event tiering strategy and event kit packaging so we can scale our presence efficiently while still showing up in a big way.
- Grow our community connections. You’ll be the face of Swing at events—building trust with school admins, district HR teams, and education leaders. You'll turn handshakes and conversations into long-term partnerships.
- Let the numbers do the talking. You’ll define what success looks like for every event—tracking leads, partnership growth, qualified opportunities, and ROI. You’ll also evaluate each event’s potential before we invest and report back to leadership on the business impact.
- Collaborate like a pro. You’ll work side-by-side with Sales, Partnerships, and Marketing to make sure every event supports our broader goals. You’ll also team up with field recruiters and market leaders to help them shine at local activations.
- Continuously raise the bar. You’ll look for ways to make our event processes smoother, smarter, and more scalable—so we can reach more schools and communities without missing a beat.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in K-12 education markets required
- A track record of successfully planning and executing events that drive real results—whether that’s leads, partnerships, or brand buzz.
- Strong project management skills and experience using tools like Asana, Trello, or similar platforms to keep all the moving parts in order.
- A love for data. You know how to measure what’s working (and what’s not) and use those insights to level up.
- Excellent communication skills—you’re just as comfortable chatting with a school principal as you are negotiating with a vendor.
- Willingness to travel regionally and nationally for events (up to 30%).
