About the role
The Event Revenue Analyst role will act as a vital bridge between the Event Services and Finance teams at BoomPop. This new role will work cross-functionally to build scalable best practices that will form the foundation of revenue success for the event services team.
Top 3 Priorities
- Improve event projections through metric tracking and forecasting methods.
- Reduce event financial errors through structure, best practices, and team training.
- Reduce overall event escalations to the finance and leadership team.
What you'll do
- Build close relationships with event planners and the finance team, acting as a liaison between the two groups
- Manage and collaborate with offshore operations coordinators
- Ensure financial views of events are created upon booking, updated when sourcing is complete, and maintained throughout the event planning process
- Flag variances from planned revenue and escalate/chase issues to resolution
- Oversee event reconciliation meetings with event planners' ownership - leading the meetings and ensuring event financial portfolios are closed in a timely manner
- Manage events team support staff who support administrative details for events
- Partner with event planners on vendor negotiations to protect margins
- Work with event planners on creative solutions to preserve margins in advance of event reconciliation
- Build a planner guide for vendor negotiations and best practices to maintain healthy margins
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of recent and relevant experience in corporate events
- Experience working on event budgets including forecasting, margins, and reconciliation
- Consider yourself an Excel/Google Sheets expert and geek out about your love for spreadsheets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a technology or high-growth company
- Event sales experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred

Occasional Travel: Connecting is in our DNA, please note that we anticipate roughly 3-4 nights of travel per quarter for this role.
Total Compensation Package; Including Benefits and Stock:
- Base: $80,000 - $105,000 a year; Depending on Experience and Qualifications
- Medical, vision, dental, life: $10,000 - $16,000 a year; Depending on Individual or Family Plan
- Equity: Our vision is to take BoomPop to the moon; Total Estimated Value for this Role is $50,000+
