Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Project Estimator for our team, in this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your cost estimating expertise to work on transportation projects in the Southeast region of the United States.

Role accountabilities:

• Independently prepare bottoms-up and top-down cost estimates from plans/drawings and documents from conceptual stage to final design/construction documents.
• Analyze subconsultant and contractor cost proposals for reasonableness.
• Analyze subconsultant and contractor change proposals for reasonableness.
• Independently perform scope, quantity and/or unit cost reconciliations.
• Assist the project management staff in the preparation of the project budget.
• Assist the project management staff with the management of project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Assist with analysis, and report on the project key performance metrics.
• Follow appropriate internal control safeguards to ensure consistent reporting of accurate information.
• Must have a basic understanding of construction means and methods.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management preferred, but not required. 
• Experience in similar roles/responsibilities on complex major transportation infrastructure program.
• 5+ years of cost estimating experience

Key Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read plans and perform quantity takeoffs.
• Roadway and bridge experience.
• TDOT (Tennessee Department of Transportation) project experience is preferred.
• Contractor estimating experience is a plus.
• Experience preparing Design-Build project estimates.
• Experience preparing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) estimates.
• Familiarity with USACE (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) estimating format and deliverables.
• Experience preparing conceptual design-level estimates and final construction estimates for complex major transportation projects.

These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP,  401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement.  We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
