Job Description

The Operations Support/Estimator Manager prepares estimates/project work orders for Vericast solutions based on specifications supplied by Sales or the end client.  In addition to preparing the requested estimate, this role will utilize their expertise to identify alternate and more efficient production options.  This role is considered a subject matter expert (SME) of direct mail products and will represent Pricing in the preparation of RFI/RFP responses containing direct mail components.  As a SME, this individual will collaborate with many departments such as but not limited to Sales, Client Management, Product Management, Legal, and Finance to provide expertise, support client requests, and drive process improvement.  This individual will also work with internal production facilities and external vendors to obtain pricing and current postal rates.  This role will perform margin analysis reviews as needed to ensure we’re positioned to deliver on our strategic pricing goals.

Key Duties / Responsibilities:

• Prepare price estimates for Vericast solutions. Incorporate estimates into the appropriate product work order (PWO) template, ensuring the product schedule language is the most current available for the product requested.  Maintain details that were used to arrive at pricing for margin analysis. 70%
• Provide Vericast solution pricing support for RFI/RFP requests.  Provide input to the RFI/RFP team regarding clarifying questions needed to fulfill pricing. 10%
• Nurture relationships with internal production facilities, external vendors and Corporate Procurement to ensure we’re utilizing the best-fit resources and maintain current rates. 10%
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement; Optimize our CRM tool to facilitate visibility of Vericast solution pricing workload. 10%

Qualifications

Education & Knowledge:

• 4-year degree or equivalent (Preferred)
• Pricing training and/or certifications
• Advanced knowledge of direct mail products and production capabilities (Required)
• Understanding of marketing helpful, particularly omni-channel

Experience / Skills / Abilities:

• Experience building price estimates, responding to RFIs and RFPs
• MS Word, Excel, and Adobe
• Experience working with CRM tools
• Excellent communication verbal and written communication
• Process improvement experience and the ability to think “outside the box”
• Time management skills, ability to recognize and prioritize amongst competing requests

Communication & Contacts (Internal/External):  This role will be collaborative, and the position requires effective communication with both internal and external contacts.

Decision Making Scope:  This position may involve some negotiations; this individual must demonstrate confidence as well as willingness to collaborate with leadership and internal departments to arrive at a decision.

Supervisory Responsibility:  No direct reports

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:  Open to remote work, must be willing and able to travel as needed.  (Travel <= 10%)

Additional Information

Base salary: $85,000-$105,000

Position is eligible for an annual bonus incentive program.

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
