About the role


As the Equity Administration Lead you will manage Rippling’s Equity program and will engage in various high impact projects supporting various business stakeholders. This role will be responsible for administering the Rippling Equity program including partnering with the Compensation Team to continuously redesign and maintain an attractive Equity program, partnering with Operations teams to design and maintain best in place processes for data integrity, maintaining records, preparing documentation, reporting equity rewards, and employee resource / training. The Equity Administrator reports to the Director of Corporate Accounting.


What you will do

  • Accurately and efficiently handle the day-to-day administration of the company’s stock plans globally, collaborating with the Payroll, Legal, HR and Compensation teams regularly to ensure efficiency in equity-related processes and resolve issues as they arise
  • Facilitate all aspects of the Company’s equity programs, including processing of new grants, exercises, as well as the review of equity transactions, terminations, and modifications
  • Provide stock administration expertise and ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting guidance, securities laws, domestic and international tax regulations
  • Maintain and update the company's cap table to ensure accurate tracking of equity ownership, issuance of shares, and any transactions related to stockholders
  • Facilitate secondary offerings by coordinating with stakeholders, managing regulatory compliance, and overseeing the process to ensure smooth shareholder execution 
  • Prepare and compile reporting for board and senior leadership
  • Generate and maintain reporting of stock-based compensation data for accounting in accordance with GAAP and IFRS and provide support to external auditors for annual audits
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of all equity data in the equity system of record, including overseeing tax reporting relating to equity awards
  • Reconcile and perform auditing procedures relating to equity transactions to ensure accuracy and quality control in the equity management system
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all  employee-related equity matters, and responsible for resolving employee matters
  • Additional responsibilities for special projects, as needed

What you will need

  • To excel in this role, you will need to be a hands on problem solver, have a deep understanding of global equity administration, processes and an ability to collaborate cross-functionally and effectively drive change
  • At least 3 years’ of direct global equity compensation administration experience, and  8+ years’ combined experience in equity administration, finance, accounting, or other related position
  • Experience with multiple equity programs spanning a global workforce  
  • Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and statutes, both state and federal, relating to compensation and familiar with international securities and tax laws governing employee stock plans
  • Great customer service, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent project management and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Equity Compensation Platforms (Shareworks, Carta)
  • Experience and expertise with corporate law, securities regulation, and corporate governance  preferred
