About The Opportunity
The right candidate for this role will thrive on building both our travel advisor community and travel agency member network. The position of Senior Business Development Manager with Envoyage (Flight Centre Travel Groups Independent Network) will be based remotely in the USA and will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and recruiting travel advisors to our host member network as well as independent agencies who are looking for the flexibility and freedom of choice when choosing a membership network for their technology tools.
The ideal candidate will combine their thorough understanding of the North American travel advisor community, with an assertive sales approach and have a tireless work ethic.
The Senior Business Development Manager will be a hunter who is entrepreneurial, methodical and creative with proven ability to go beyond the traditional business development approach. Part of your role will include analyzing target markets and identify prospective opportunities including advisor acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing, approaching and closing new business opportunities to join the Envoyage Member Network.
- Create leads from your own prospecting efforts, attending and/or organizing events, leveraging contacts and using social media platforms to identify prospects.
- Leading phone/email campaigns to recruit advisors with an existing book of business.
- Conduct sales presentations, both in person and remote including new prospects, existing members and at events.
- Accurate data entry and effective management of sales pipeline.
- Attend networking events to promote the brand
- Work with the team to develop and create a recruitment strategy to acquire new travel advisors.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years in BDM role in the travel industry, resulting in established strong relationships with independent travel agents and agencies.
- Consistent high performance in relation to reaching sales targets.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.
- Understanding of Travel Agency processes, and the travel supplier landscape

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $75,000 plus commission/incentive earnings based on achievable targets. The salary is dependent on relevant factors, including experience, geographic location, and job requirements. On target earnings average range between $75,000 - $110,000. The annual salary range listed represents the total compensation package, excluding benefits.
