The Opportunity  

Abt Global seeks a dynamic, creative Environmental Communications Analyst to help develop communications plans and materials for federal agencies, including U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.   

Key Roles & Responsibilities  

  • Develop strategic communication plans to guide messaging and stakeholder engagement
  • Write Plain Language communication materials such as brochures, factsheets, infographics, and web copy for public audiences and hard-to-reach populations 
  • Collaborate with team of graphic designers, videographers, and writers/editors to develop compelling, engaging communication products on climate change, sustainability, and waste reduction topics
  • Develop and manage social media content and email campaigns 
  • Plan and implement stakeholder engagement activities such as workshops and training sessions, including virtual events 
  • Support partnership programs by managing stakeholder relationships, developing resources, and supporting annual recognition events 
  • Research technical issues and prepare written products for target audiences 

What We Value

  • Bachelor’s Degree + 3 years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + 0 years of relevant experience
  • Background in environmental science, communications, or related field; specialized expertise or training in climate change communications is preferred 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills 
  • Familiarity with Drupal, social media monitoring, or email marketing platforms preferred. 
  • Talent for creative problem solving  
  • Good organization skills and keen eye for detail 
  • Ability to manage time well and work on multiple, concurrent projects
