Entry Level Staff Accountant - Hybrid role local to Boston, MA

This is a hybrid position that would require travel to our corporate office in Boston MA once a month.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reconciles bank accounts, prepaid expenses, fixed assets and other reconciliations as needed.
- Provides general ledger and reporting assistance to financial staff of subsidiary companies.
- Assists with analysis of financial data.
- Post daily lockbox deposits and ACH payments, research and reconcile un-posted payments.
- Ensures compliance with accounting policies and procedures and recommend accounting process improvements.
- Prepares weekly and monthly reports to management.
- Reconciles intercompany accounts and billings
- Ensures revenue recognition is consistent with PCG practice and policies.
- Coordinates project billings with project managers.
- Assists with international entities monthly accounting
- Assists in month and quarter end close processes
- Responsibilities may change as the department and PCG grow and as deemed necessary by management.
- Special projects as assigned
Required Skills
- Working and advanced knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”).
- Working and advanced knowledge of internal controls and accounting processes.
- Ability to use personal discretion and sound judgement while performing job functions.
- Ability to communicate and train employees on internal accounting policies and processes.
- Effective ability to prioritize and manage multiple activity streams.
- Ability to work effectively with, and communicate with all levels of management.
- Must have the ability to manage task load with frequent interruptions.
- Must maintain attention to detail at all times.
- Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel.
- Possess discretion to work with confidential information.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Required
0-5 years of accounting experience, Experience with Project accounting
Local to Boston, MA where there would be travel to our corporate office once a month.
