Summary
As an Enterprise Infrastructure & Applications Leader at Hummingbird, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, and driving innovation across the organization. This role involves collaborating with IT operations, data/analytics, security, and the Integration Office to design and oversee the integration of technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support scalable growth. The Enterprise Architect will also manage the support structure for enterprise applications, including Workday (HCM, PSA, Finance), Salesforce, and other business applications.Responsibilities

Compensation: Starting at $179,000 per year
Work Location: This position is remote. You must work from a location within the United States with consistent internet service.
Travel: 2-3 times per year for client visits, training, and company events

Enterprise Architecture & Roadmap
Collaborate with business leaders to understand objectives, pain points, and technology needs.
Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise architecture strategy that supports scalability, flexibility, and security.
Oversee the evaluation and integration of new technologies and systems to enhance infrastructure and operations.
Partner with integration teams to develop enterprise architecture roadmaps and process standards.
Enterprise Application Support Oversight
Oversee enterprise applications to ensure compliance with Hummingbird’s standards and operational requirements.
Work with support teams to maintain high availability and performance of business-critical applications.
Implement best practices for application lifecycle management and capability mapping to optimize resource allocation.
Identify and address system inefficiencies to improve user experience and business outcomes.
Technical Program Management
Develop and oversee technical program plans to enable repeatable and scalable delivery of technology solutions.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery within budget constraints.
Implement governance structures to ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IT service delivery and business alignment.
Governance, Risk, and Compliance
Ensure data governance and security policies are established and maintained across enterprise systems.
Collaborate with security teams to safeguard sensitive data and maintain compliance with organizational policies.
Facilitate risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for enterprise technology solutions.
Ensure alignment of technology strategies with industry regulations and best practices.
Strategic Planning
Identify emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and operational improvements.
Develop long-term IT strategies and budgets that support business growth and transformation.
Define enterprise architecture standards in collaboration with IT and Integration Office teams.
Establish clarity on Workday roadmap, timelines, and required staffing to support enterprise teams effectively.
Team Leadership
Provide guidance and mentorship to a small team of individual contributors, offering regular feedback on performance, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Conduct regular 1-1 meetings with team members, offering guidance and support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their objectives.
Collaborate with department leadership to set performance objectives and development plans for team members and conduct performance reviews.
Lead by example in demonstrating high performance standards and expectations.
Required & Desired Skills
Required Skills and Experience
8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, IT strategy, or related fields.
Strong understanding of enterprise systems, including Workday, Salesforce, and cloud-based infrastructure platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS).
Experience with healthcare technology and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g. HIPAA, HITECH, NIST).
Proven ability to develop and implement scalable enterprise architecture strategies.
Experience leading cross-functional technology teams and managing complex IT projects.
Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics platforms in healthcare.
Knowledge of automation, integration strategies, and emerging technology trends.
Familiarity with enterprise security best practices and risk management.
Ability to drive technology adoption and process improvements within a growing organization.
Strong understanding of TOGAF, Zachman, or other EA frameworks.
Exposure to AI/ML applications in healthcare or enterprise business applications (e.g., predictive analytics, NLP for provider-patient charting, etc.).
