As a key member of the wider IT Planning & Architecture team you will collaborate with senior stakeholders, solution architecture teams, and various IT and business areas to deliver high-quality enterprise solutions. As a dynamic and forward-thinking team within the SRA, we integrate projects and programmes aligning with our business strategy. The role
The Enterprise Architect (EA) sets the direction, and establishes the approach, for integrating information systems, data and programmes. In this role, you will develop, coordinate, communicate, maintain, catalogue, collaborate and encourage the use of the overall Enterprise Architectures. You'll provide expertise and advice on Enterprise Architecture issues, ensuring that solution designs deliver against business strategies and that future technology solutions adhere to agreed architectural principles.
Your responsibilities will include developing strategic architecture roadmaps, improving Architectural governance, and providing guidance to solution architecture providers both internal and 3rd party’s. You will cultivate and influence key business stakeholders, establishing yourself as a trusted and knowledgeable advisor able to translate complex technology solutions into clear, concise, layman’s language.

What we are looking for:
- Solid experience working as an Enterprise Architect.
- A practical understanding of the impact of different business models and processes on the Enterprise Architecture, how architecture can support/enable business value.
- Experience in providing demonstrable alignment and priority between the business vision and strategy to capability roadmaps.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Able to plan complex interventions and project work over a significant period of time into the future and possess the ability to manage shifting priorities effectively
- Strategic thinker and problem solver, a confident decision maker, comfortable with accountability at a senior level

This is a hybrid role and will be based in our Birmingham office up to 2 days a week, and remote for the remainder of the working week.
