The Role:

The Department of Health are seeking dedicated Enrolled Nurses to join their team at the King Island Hospital & Community Health Centre. This is your opportunity to be an integral and valued member of a small team who service multiple aspects of health care including emergency, sub acute and residential aged care.

The Enrolled Nurse provides direct patient/client centred nursing care to assigned patients/clients, within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse/midwife to achieve planned patient outcomes.

Details of appointment:

Multiple Permanent, full time & part time, shift worker positions available, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from January 2025. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $68,913 to $75,902 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Allowance 

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available. 

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
• District Allowances of up to $4,618 per annum for a family 
• Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of $3,699 per annum and an additional salary allowance of 10%

• • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines)
