About the Role

The Route Success engineering team owns the systems which power the on the road experience for our driver partners in the final mile of our logistics network. The team is responsible for driving successful outcomes for our driver partners throughout the delivery lifecycle, and ensuring top notch experiences for the customers and clients we service.

As a Software Engineering Manager on our Route Success team, you’ll lead the strategy and execution for the team as they work closely with Product to build out features and functionality in our on the road APIs, internal UIs and Driver Mobile Application. You’ll work on projects related to geo spatial, driver and consumer powered data to give drivers the tools they need to deliver to addresses across our network. On a daily basis, you will help the team solve tactical problems that improve and redefine the driver experience for delivering to consumers doorsteps.

What you'll be doing

• Leading and supporting the overall development life cycle of the Route Success and Driver Mobile App spaces, and managing complex projects with significant bottom-line impact

• Overseeing a team of developers while providing clarity and direction as they evolve next generation driver facing products powering our delivery and returns experiences

• Working with product managers in developing a strategy and road map to provide industry differentiating capabilities for a variety of product lines and platforms

• Instilling best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules

• Navigating prioritization, planning of projects and features, Stakeholder management, and tracking of external commitments

• Translating business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions
