Job Description:

At PriceSpider, we are dedicated to building innovative solutions that push the boundaries of technology. Our team thrives on tackling complex challenges and delivering high-performance, scalable systems. We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager with strong infrastructure skills, deep expertise in Go, relational databases, big data, and practical AI experience to lead our talented engineering team. 

 

What you will be doing:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable systems and infrastructure 
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications to ensure alignment with business goals
  • Architect and implement robust, scalable systems using Go and relevant technologies
  • Design and maintain relational database schemas, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance 
  • Develop and manage big data solutions, optimizing for performance and scalability
  • Integrate AI models and algorithms into production systems, leveraging practical AI experience to enhance product capabilities
  • Leverage metrics to make informed recommendations about the overall system stability and scalability 
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the infrastructure
  • Implement best practices for CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response 
  • Collaborate with DevOps to optimize infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency 
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging team members to explore new technologies and approaches

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
  • Proficiency in Go and experience with other programming languages
  • In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and experience in database design and optimization
  • Hands-on experience with big data technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Big Query, Spark) and data processing pipelines
  • Practical experience with AI/ML, including integrating AI models into production environments
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of designing and delivering scalable, high-performance systems
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., Sagemaker, Hugging Face, OpenAI, Claude, Llama 3)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)

Compensation:

The base salary for this role is $140,000 - $170,000. Please note that our salary ranges are based on current market data and the offered compensation may vary based on experience, skills, location, and other factors permitted by law.
