At Pinterest, our mission is to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love. Essential to this mission is ensuring compliance across various regulatory landscapes, including intellectual property (IP) laws, trademark regulations, the Digital Services Act (DSA), and privacy laws. We’re seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and manage our compliance team with a focus on these important areas.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and compliance specialists dedicated to crafting solutions that ensure Pinterest's adherence to IP, content, youth, and privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Ops, Product Management, and Data Privacy, to design and implement compliance strategies that align with Pinterest's objectives.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of tools and processes to monitor compliance and mitigate risks.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure timely delivery of compliance-related initiatives.
- Lead your team by example, grow individuals in their careers, and provide support and oversight to allow your team to become their best selves
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
- A track record of developing high-quality software with high reliability.
- Proven ability to manage and inspire technical teams to achieve high-impact outcomes.
- Well-versed in agile development methodologies.
- A strong understanding of the regulatory landscape is preferred, but not required.
In-Office Requirement Statement:
- We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
- This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6-months and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
