We are currently seeking a full-time Energy Efficiency Engineer II to join our Energy Efficiency Team. The person selected to fill this position shall have expertise in building science and energy-efficient technologies. Knowledge of HVAC systems specifically is required. Due to their extensive experience in the field, the ideal candidate will provide high quality work products that need minimal review and are able to anticipate risks and propose risk mitigation strategies to senior staff. Their experience will also allow them to challenge technical assumptions put forth by others in their given area of expertise and to speak to clients as a primary Company representative on technical matters. Their technical expertise will aid in the development of proposals and business development efforts.
As a member of the Energy Solutions team, you will have a broad impact on state and national energy codes, and energy efficiency markets through our work for major North American utilities, city and state governments, and other national leaders in energy efficiency policy. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Constructing Excel engineering and analytical models
- Researching technical information
- Developing risk mitigation strategies
- Developing and reviewing energy savings calculations
- Contributing to proposals as a Subject Matter Expert
- Interacting with clients and stakeholders
- Utilizing strong technical communication skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of energy engineering experience
- Bachelors degree in an engineering or technical field
- Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Demonstrate competence in a variety of analytical, research and technical skills
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in HVAC or Water Heating
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with Tableau a plus
Compensation to commensurate with experience with the pay band of $82,000 - $92,000/Annually.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
