The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in healthcare systems, particularly in testing complex, end-to-end workflows. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of ensuring the quality of healthcare applications, testing critical customer service platforms, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT). You will play a pivotal role in creating comprehensive test plans, developing regression test suites, and automating test cases using open-source tools to ensure a seamless experience for our healthcare clients.

Essential Job Functions

  • End-to-End Workflow Testing: Develop, implement, and maintain test strategies for complex healthcare workflows, ensuring that all processes are thoroughly tested across multiple platforms.
  • Test Plan Creation: Design and execute detailed test plans and test cases, outlining test scenarios, test data, expected results, and environment setups.
  • Regression Testing: Manage and enhance the regression suite to ensure the integrity of critical functionality with every release.
  • UAT Support: Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring that all business requirements are met.
  • Automation of Test Cases: Automate test cases using open-source tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.), focusing on improving testing efficiency and scalability.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution with development teams.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other teams to improve product quality, testability, and deliverables.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive the adoption of quality engineering best practices and suggest improvements in testing strategies, methodologies, and tools.

Desired Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Other Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role, with strong experience in testing complex workflows in healthcare or related fields.
  • Experience with customer service platforms is a bonus, ideally in a healthcare context.
  • Strong understanding of manual and automated testing techniques.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies, and Version Control Systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of open-source automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Strong communication skills, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present test results clearly.
  • Experience in healthcare systems and familiarity with HIPAA or other healthcare regulations is a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge of SQL for database testing and verification.
  • Familiarity with API testing (using tools like Postman or RestAssured) is a plus.
  • Ability to handle complex problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position pays between $62,500 - 119,700 based on experience
