Energy Efficiency Project Manager, Policy & Ratings (Remote - US)

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, conscientious, and accountable Project Manager to join our Policy & Ratings Team. The person selected to fill this position shall bring experience in technical project management, stakeholder collaborative facilitation, and on-the-job learning. Experience or familiarity with building energy technologies and systems such as, lighting, HVAC, water heating, envelope, water efficiency, demand response, distributed generation, electric vehicles, data analytics, and related technology solutions is desired to help create large scale savings for our clients. Familiarity with building energy codes and/or background in public policy is also desirable.
As a member of the Energy Solutions team, you will have a broad impact on energy efficiency markets and greenhouse gas reductions through our work for major North American utilities, city and state governments, and other national leaders in energy efficiency policy. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Overall direction, management, quality control, and completion of project deliverables
- Managing project budgets, timelines, processes, and tasks with minimal oversight
- Facilitating the progress of multiple projects and bringing them to conclusion
- Proactively communicating project progress to management and clients
- Interacting with customers, clients, and external collaborators
- Conducting market research and data analysis
- Tracking of industry trends and other market changes that impact energy efficiency
- Organizing and facilitating virtual meetings and conference calls
- Conducting outreach to industry stakeholders
- Subcontractor management, including invoicing
- Conducting literature searches
Minimum qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree preferably in an energy-related or policy-related discipline, including environmental, electrical or mechanical engineering, public policy or economics degrees
- A minimum of two years of work related experience
- Will also accept well qualified candidates with at least four years of work related experience in lieu of a degree
- Technical experience in the field of lighting, HVAC, water heating, envelope, industrial processes, electric vehicles, demand response, distributed generation, and related technology solutions preferred
- Experience with energy codes and standards and/or specification development preferred
- Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed technical and quantitative analysis
- Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with task management software such as Monday.com
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work and thrive independently
- Willingness to conduct occasional business travel
- Enthusiasm for working within a diverse, collaborative team
Compensation to commensurate with experience with the pay band of $65k - $75k/Annually
Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
