Energy Efficiency Field Operations Lead - California, United States - Remote

Resource Innovations is seeking adynamic Field Operations Lead to join our growing team in California. As a Field Operations Manager at Resource Innovations, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with trade allies (i.e., energy service providers, contractors, installation firms, distributors, and/or manufacturers), promoting awareness of energy efficiency and building electrification programs, and ultimately driving positive energy savings outcomes. This position will also play a crucial role in developing and executing strategies that cultivate a robust network of qualified trade allies. The ideal candidate will drive trade ally recruitment, engagement, and retention to support organizational goals and initiatives. To be successful in this role, you will need to have expertise in field engagement, experience in the energy efficiency sector, and a passion for cultivating partnerships that create value for our organization and the communities we serve.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Program Development and Execution:

  • Develop and execute strategic outreach and recruitment plans to attract a diverse pool of trade allies, prioritizing underrepresented businesses to ensure an equitable approach.
  • Oversee the implementation of program goals, key performance indicators, and project timelines.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of a trade ally database, including contact lists, interest forms, and feedback.

Field Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for trade allies, fostering strong working relationships to boost program participation and success.
  • Identify and attend industry events, conferences, and other relevant networking opportunities to promote the program and engage with potential allies.
  • Conduct direct outreach to trade allies (email, phone, meetings) to gather up-to-date information and promote program participation

Training and Capacity Building:

  • Develop and deliver customized trade ally training programs aligned with the Program objectives.
  • Promote ongoing learning by organizing workshops, webinars, and other knowledge-sharing opportunities.
  • Mentor trade allies to build their capacity and increase their expertise in delivering energy-efficient solutions.

 Performance Management

  • Develop and track meaningful KPIs related to contractor performance in energy efficiency projects.
  • Generate comprehensive reports analyzing contractor performance against established KPIs.
  • Create performance management plans to address shortcomings, including corrective actions and training.
  • Collaborate with contractors to improve performance, address issues, and promote success.
  • Analyze performance data to identify areas for process optimization within energy efficiency project delivery.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and project results.

 Program Management:

  • Contribute to project plans, program launch plans, and reporting.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external stakeholder meetings related to the program.
  • Regularly collect and analyze feedback from trade allies, using insights to help the client continuously improve their programs.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to Client teams to ensure long-term sustainability and ownership of the program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in energy management, business administration, sustainability, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the energy efficiency industry, with a solid understanding of the trade ally landscape and networks.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals and businesses from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented with a proven track record of successful project management.
  • Enthusiasm for sustainability, energy efficiency, and the mission of our organization.

The compensation range for this exempt position is $110,000 - $125,000. The stated range is based on a good faith estimate of the compensation range for the duties, responsibilities and skills / experience required for the position. Starting pay will be dependent on experience and internal equity. This provided range may exceed this range for well-qualified candidates, especially with industry experience.
