We are seeking an Energy Efficiency Associate to join our Energy Efficiency department, supporting energy efficiency programs and technical implementation. This role will support two major efforts: the success of our point-of-sale Instant Rebates foodservice programs in California, and the growth of our software implementation and design capabilities. This role is fully remote with a hybrid or in-office option, and preference will be given to candidates working in or near our Orange, CA office location. As a member of the Energy Solutions team, you will have a broad impact on energy efficiency markets and greenhouse gas reductions through our work for major North American utilities, program administrators and other national leaders in energy efficiency. Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

  • Assisting with program implementation and design
  • Technology research and literature searches, including energy savings calculation
  • Facilitating and monitoring the progress of projects and communicating progress to internal stakeholders
  • Organizing and facilitating meetings and conference calls with internal stakeholders and/or clients
  • Coordinating implementation activities between internal technical teams and consulting stakeholders
  • Configuring program changes on our proprietary software platforms
  • Completing user acceptance testing on behalf of program staff, clients, and market actors
  • Working with internal clients to debug, reproduce, document, and fix support problems for production web application systems
  • Creating visualizations and dashboards using BI tools (e.g. Tableau)

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an energy-related discipline with environmental, electrical, information systems management or mechanical engineering preferred; or quantitative background
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed technical and quantitative analysis, knowledge of data science and/or experience with information systems management
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated commitment to and consistency in quality control practices
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
