Role Overview
The Manager, Employee Relations will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s employee relations strategy, serving as the primary point of contact for all global employee relations matters. This role will collaborate closely with HRBPs, Legal, and business leaders to address complex issues with the highest level of confidentiality, compliance, and professionalism. Reporting to the Senior Director, HRBPs and Employee Relations, this position is pivotal in fostering a fair, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture across GOAT Group.
In this role, you will:
- Build process for the newly created Employee Relations function including designing the strategic roadmap, training, and adoption in partnership with People, HRBPs, and the legal team.
- Conduct impartial investigations with defined process and within reasonable SLA
- Establish and maintain a deep understanding of labor laws and employee relations practices across various regions and countries where GOAT group has employees to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with regional HRBPs and legal resources to address country-specific employ relations challenges and ensure alignment with local labor laws.
- Ensure that the employee relations practices are consistent, fair, and aligned with company values and culture across all global locations.
- Lead the resolution of complex employee relations issues, including internal investigations of misconduct, harassment, discrimination, etc., and provide recommendations to the HR Business Partner and Legal regarding the next steps.
- Provide expert guidance and support to HR Business Partners, management, and other stakeholders regarding employee relations issues.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping of all complaints, investigations, and outcomes following legal document retention guidelines.
We are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in employee relations and internal investigations in legal, HR, audit, or risk management roles, global experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; equivalent years of relevant work experience will be considered in place of a degree
- Proven track record in conducting and managing complex, sensitive investigations, including root cause analysis, documentation, and remediation strategies.
- Project management experience in reimagining or roll out of new employee relations initiatives
- Strong understanding of global employment laws, compliance requirements, and cultural norms preferred, and/or the ability to expand expertise into required regions within the
year in the role. - Excellent judgment and discretion in handling highly confidential and sensitive matter with the ability to balance risk and business needs.
- Proven ability to partner effectively with HR, Legal, compliance, and business leaders to resolve employee relations issues.
- Demonstrated success in influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive aligned solutions.
- Proficient in analyzing complex issues and presenting data-driven recommendations that align with business goals.
The hiring range for this position is below, plus benefits (401K, paid time off, dental, medical, vision, disability, life insurance options).
