Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive  Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.


Key Responsibilities

Project Setup

  • Review top sheets and lighting/power packages to determine the value of job accounts.
  • Set up job accounts and communicate with suppliers.
  • Distribute field binders and plans to Foremen.
Change Order Management

  • Assign change order numbers and enter them into the Construction Management System (CE) as needed.
  • Process change orders, send them to customers, and follow up until approval is received.
  • Communicate change order information to the field team.
Cost Coding & Work Order Tracking

  • Collect and track Work Orders (WO) and Day Work Orders (DWO) for projects.
  • Verify hours and cost codes on timecards; cross-reference with WOs, DWOs, and COs to ensure accuracy.
  • Cost code accounts payable for change orders, service, lighting, or power before entry by others.
Submittals Management

  • Send Purchase Orders (POs) to vendors for lighting and power; request submittals.
  • Send submittals to customers and follow up on approvals.
  • Verify submittal accuracy before release and coordinate material shipments.
Project Close-Outs

  • Prepare warranties and as-built documents for contractors as requested.
Project Shipping Coordination

  • Coordinate shipment appointments and update Foremen and Project Managers accordingly.
  • Remind Foremen about shipments the day before scheduled delivery.
Material Orders

  • Provide Foremen with Purchase Orders as requested.
  • Place material orders and enter POs into the Construction Management System.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of [Insert Years] years of experience in project management within the electrical industry.
  • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., CE).
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
