RemoteThis position will support the Collins Aerospace Safety, Health and Risk Reduction Team. Project work and day-to-day activities may support the following programs - occupational health, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, global chemical regulations, occupational safety, risk reduction, and operational excellence.
Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run May/June- December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
What You Will Do:
- Assists in executing procedures, reports, and trainings across multiple EH&S disciplines.
- Gains knowledge regarding reviewing performance against EH&S regulatory requirements and raises potential non-conformance issues.
- Learns about explaining and interpreting EH&S regulations and employee practices to business facilities to achieve and maintain understanding.
- Will learn about required environmental regulatory reports and submissions.
- Gain knowledge on developing materials for EH&S training and communications on subjects required by regulations such as confined space, respiratory protection, compressed gases, electrical safety, ergonomics, etc..
What You Will Learn:
- Work with leaders and team to develop understanding of EH&S regulations
- Gain additional knowledge into reporting for the government
- Work hand in had with leaders for developing materials, communication and EH&S trainings
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
