Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking an Education Software Development Intern to join its Outreach & Communications department. This intern will assist the Precollege Education Programs team on designing and delivering educational experiences for students aged 11–21. This role involves assisting the team in developing and improving Portal, our learning management system for the Wolfram High School Summer Research Program.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Precollege Education Programs team with:
- Designing and delivering educational opportunities for students aged 11–21
- Developing learning management systems and tools to support student learning
- Developing and improving Portal, the learning and management system for the Wolfram High School Summer Research Program
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively
- Competency in Wolfram Language
- Competency with GitHub or similar tools
- Participation in a research-based education program hosted by Wolfram Research is preferred
Location: Champaign, Illinois, or remote
Job Type: Part time (Up to five hours per week)/Temporary
Reporting to: Manager of Precollege Educational Programs
Salary (for eligible candidates residing in the United States): The pay rate for this position is between $15.00 and $20.00 per hour.
