About the role
The Vcheck Intelligence (VI) team is dedicated to providing our clients with the highest quality due diligence reports. As an Editorial Associate within this team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the clarity, accuracy, and professionalism of these reports. You will be responsible for reviewing narrative reports and refining them for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and overall readability. This role is ideal for someone with a strong academic background in the humanities, political science, or international relations who possesses exceptional writing and editing skills, and a keen eye for detail. Prior experience in the due diligence industry is not required; we will provide the necessary training on report specifics and the nuances of working with the Vcheck Intelligence team.
What you'll be doing
- Review and edit corporate intelligence, due diligence, and background check reports for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and style.Â
- Improve the clarity, conciseness, and overall readability of reports, ensuring a professional and polished final product that meets Vcheck Intelligence standards.Â
- Identify and correct factual inconsistencies or ambiguities within the reports.Â
- Ensure reports adhere to our established Vcheck style guide and formatting standards.Â
- Collaborate with report writers within the Vcheck Intelligence team to provide constructive feedback and improve their writing skills, ultimately identifying a single, consistent voice for Vcheck Intelligence reports.Â
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks appropriately within the team's workflow.Â
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding sensitive information handled by the Vcheck Intelligence team.Â
- Develop a strong understanding of Vcheck's specific reporting requirements and industry best practices for due diligence and background checksÂ
- Performs other duties as assignedÂ
