What will you be doing?
Circana is searching for a meticulous and creative Content Lead to envision, manage and drive its global, integrated content strategy. The individual will work closely with the thought leadership, corporate communications, and product marketing teams to craft clear, compelling, and insightful materials that reflect Circana’s brand voice, while strategically elevating its profile with key audiences. The Content Lead will produce, edit, and optimize a wide array of content, including data-driven whitepapers and blogs, by-lined articles, social media posts, blogs, videos, eBooks, and more. This role is ideal for someone who combines editorial expertise with an understanding of data-driven content, industry trends and AI tools.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with firmwide content creators, including leadership, subject matter experts, thought leaders, and marketing leads to ensure content differentiation, accuracy, relevancy, and strategic alignment with Circana’s overall reputation and commercial goals.
- Content Development: Personally contribute to content creation, crafting pieces that are insightful, data-driven, and resonate with Circana’s target audiences.
- Manage Content Calendar: Along with the CCO, own the planning and organizing of the dynamic content calendar, coordinating with different departments to prioritize, publish an optimal times, and meet publication deadlines.
- Manage editing and proofreading: Review and edit content for clarity, grammar, style, and tone. Ensure all content aligns with Circana’s voice, brand guidelines, and quality standards.
- Fact-Check and Verify Data: Ensure all statistics, references, and sources are accurate and reliable, supporting Circana’s commitment to data integrity.
- Content Optimization: Enhance content readability, engagement, and SEO performance to drive higher reach and visibility across multiple platforms.
- Track Performance: Collaborate with the analytics team to assess content performance, using data insights to inform future editorial decisions.
- Stay current on editorial best practices, technology trends, and innovations, particularly in AI-driven content solutions including content generation, quality control, and editorial analytics.
- Implement an AI-augmented editing workflow, integrating tools that enhance human editors' efficiency and accuracy. Set and monitor content KPIs, using analytics to adjust strategies and meet targets. Report on team performance, project outcomes, and AI-driven efficiencies.
- Establish content guidelines and frameworks that balance creativity and data-driven insights.
- Coach and mentor team members and lead by influence, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Develop and deliver training on editorial best practices, AI tool utilization, and content strategy to maximize team capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in content editing or editorial management, preferably in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
- Strong command of grammar, style, and editing best practices, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, accessible manner.
- Familiarity with interpreting data insights and incorporating them into content in a way that is meaningful to target audiences.
- Understanding of SEO principles and experience optimizing content for search visibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
- Never-ending curiosity about the latest trends in content strategy and AI.
- Meticulous approach to fact-checking and proofreading, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in B2B content editing, especially in a company focused on data analytics or consumer insights.
- Familiarity with AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, or similar editorial guidelines.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $130,000.00 to $170,000.00.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
