Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced eDiscovery and Litigation Support Specialist to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the eDiscovery process, including data collection, processing, review, and production. This role requires a deep understanding of eDiscovery tools and techniques, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with legal and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • eDiscovery Management:
  • Oversee the entire eDiscovery lifecycle, including identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, and production of electronically stored information (ESI).
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements throughout the eDiscovery process.
  • Data Collection and Processing:
  • Coordinate and execute the collection of ESI from various sources, including email systems, file servers, databases, and cloud storage.
  • Process and prepare ESI for review using industry-standard eDiscovery tools and software.
  • Document Review and Production:
  • Manage document review projects, including setting up review workflows, conducting quality control, and overseeing review teams.
  • Prepare and produce documents in response to discovery requests, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Technology and Tools:
  • Utilize eDiscovery software (e.g., Relativity, Clearwell, Nuix) to manage and streamline the eDiscovery process.
  • Stay current with emerging eDiscovery technologies and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Project Management:
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for eDiscovery projects.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of eDiscovery tasks.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with legal teams, IT departments, and external vendors to ensure seamless eDiscovery operations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, address issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Training and Support:
  • Provide training and support to legal and IT teams on eDiscovery processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and training materials related to eDiscovery procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of eDiscovery tools and software, including Relativity, Clearwell, Nuix, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to eDiscovery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in eDiscovery (e.g., Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS), Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA)).
  • Experience working in a law firm, corporate legal department, or eDiscovery service provider.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and their impact on eDiscovery.

Compensation

Base pay: $150,000 - $225,000

The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
