eCommerce Personalization Specialist - Product Recommendation

Ferguson is seeking an experienced Ecommerce Personalization Specialist to join our growing and collaborative Digital Experience team. The Ecommerce Personalization Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing personalized product recommendations and content to drive customer engagement and revenue for Ferguson's websites. The successful candidate will focus on the digital customer needs and behaviors using best-in-class personalization tools and data-driven analysis to improve product discovery, engagement, conversion rate, and direct revenue. The Specialist will collaborate with many internal and external partners including the Site Merchandising, UI/UX, Product Management, Email Marketing, Web Operations/Engineering and Marketing Analytics teams, as well as 3rd party vendors to develop and execute personalization and optimization strategies with a "test and learn" approach.

**This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.**

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting:

  • Use analytics to measure campaign and segmentation performance, and present insights in a clear and concise manner to multi-functional partners.
  • Prepare monthly reports that include year over year performance, testing outcomes, and highlight areas of opportunity for driving engagement, conversion and increasing revenue.

Product Recommendations:

  • Handle campaigns in the Dynamic Yield platform to deliver targeted cross-channel product recommendations and content.
  • Monitor campaign performance using analytics tools, Dynamic Yield and custom reporting.
  • Evaluate and understand website customer behavior to manage and target key audiences/segments.
  • Continually test and optimize recommendations across site experiences with configurable strategies to match a customer's affinity to categories, brands, etc.
  • Refine the recommendations roadmap that includes improvements in testing timelines, recommended and content features, evaluating new recommendation tools, and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams on ways to grow the system capabilities and identify areas of opportunity.
  • Grow into serving as the technical guide in utilization of the Dynamic Yield platform.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: BA/BS preferred.
  • 2-5 years in an Ecommerce environment with focus on digital marketing and analytics, user behavior, trends, and site performance preferred.
  • Experience in digital merchandising, personalization or optimization a plus.
  • Experience setting up multivariate and/or A/B testing scenarios and solutions and communicating findings to Collaborators.
  • Demonstrable experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or similar tools to deliver actionable insights on personalization performance.
  • A.I. product recommendation tool optimization experience preferred, using systems such as Dynamic Yield, Bloomreach, Optimizely, Coveo, Crownpeak, Vue.ai or Monetate.
  • Understanding of the retail, Ecommerce, Email, and SMS marketing industries and critical metrics.
  • Interest in continuing education on web personalization best practices.
  • PowerBI, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, or CSS coding experience helpful.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint experience.

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
