About the team this role lives within:

Based in San Diego, California, our content creation & digital marketing agency specializes in the beauty, health, and wellness industry and offers 360 marketing services, including social media marketing, content creation, influencer marketing, paid digital media, creative development, email marketing, and website development. 

We look at the digital space with a wide-angle lens — making us uniquely qualified to expand and elevate our client’s digital reach while delivering consistency across performance marketing, social marketing, influencer marketing, email marketing and CRM.  With over $17M in revenue, the current team is over 80 people. Top clients include Jergens, Bio-Oil, Rimmel, Olaplex, and JLo Beauty. 

The San Diego office also has its own studio for shoots, which is a key part of the client offering, developing ongoing social content, email marketing assets, social and streaming ads, photography and video for everything from evergreen messages to product launches. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong marketing background, excellent presentation and communication skills, along with demonstrated, hands-on experience managing e-commerce and TikTok Shops from setup to optimization and reporting. We’re looking for a passionate, digitally-savvy E-Commerce & TikTok Shop Manager to take ownership of clients' social commerce strategies  across owned e-commerce and TikTok Shop channels. This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes digital trends, understands consumer behavior in the beauty and wellness space, and can blend operational excellence with a content-first driven strategic approach. You will leverage your expertise and experience to support multiple brands, driving revenue growth and enhancing their presence on TikTok. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing TikTok Shops, preferably from a leading brand.

Requirements

E-Commerce Operations & Strategy (Shopify / DTC)

  • Oversee strategy and operations of clients’ Shopify stores including product listings, site merchandising, UX/UI and checkout process.
  • Steer commercial strategy for our clients on Shopify & TikTok, inclusive of promotion strategy, bundles, GWP, free shipping and key holiday discounts and offers.
  • Own the customer journey—from landing page to checkout—ensuring a seamless, branded experience that drives high conversion.
  • Play a key role in strategy behind new brand launches or product launches, working cross-functionally with our internal agency teams (marketing, creative, performance marketing, retention, web & SEO) and external client teams.
  • Analyze DTC performance metrics such as AOV, CVR, repurchase rate, and LTV; recommend testing strategies to increase retention and repeat purchase.
  • Participate in new business activities to upsell and cross-sell e-commerce and TikTok shop management projects and retainers.

TikTok Shop Management & Social Commerce

  • Manage all facets of TikTok Shop including shop onboarding, creative asset coordination, fulfilment, and order monitoring for clients.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to clients, helping them navigate and succeed in the TikTok Shop ecosystem
  • Leverage TikTok's algorithm and viral trends Continuously assess market trends, competitor strategies, and emerging features on TikTok, ensuring cutting-edge growth tactics are incorporated into the strategy
  • Partner with the agency’s affiliate team for TikTok affiliate and creator strategies.
  • Strategize TikTok Live Selling events, seasonal campaigns, and product education series in collaboration with the agency teams and clients.
  • Create strategies tailored to beauty/wellness buying behaviour—focusing on demo-led videos, testimonials, before-and-afters, and “get ready with me” (GRWM) formats.
  • Track and optimize for social commerce KPIs including views, CTRs, add-to-carts, sales, GMV and CAC

Growth & Trendspotting

  • Stay plugged into emerging TikTok trends, beauty rituals, trending ingredients, trending keywords and community buzz to guide product positioning and content for our clients.
  • Identify whitespace and product bundling opportunities based on behavioural data and feedback from customers, creators, and comments.
  • Collaborate with internal (agency) and external (client) teams to align new launches with timely, TikTok-native storytelling.

Performance Reporting

  • Build clear dashboards and reports using Shopify analytics, Google Analytics, TikTok Seller Center, and other tools.
  • Deliver weekly insights on what’s working (and what’s not) across both the website and TikTok Shop, with recommendations for A/B testing, creative adjustments, or product prioritization.
    Client Relations
  • Excellent track record of building strong client relationships 
  • Leadership and people management experience 
  • Confidence, assertiveness, and self-starter qualities
  • Ability to give accurate verbal and written feedback and instructions to internal teams
  • Exceptional client-facing communication and presentation skills over email and Zoom
  • Sense of ownership and autonomy of workload. If you say you’ll do something, it gets done! No need for micro-management, accountability and sense of pride in your work. 
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, dependent on the project.
  • Keen attention to detail & exceptionally strong with numbers & data analysis.

Qualifications:

    • 3–5 years of experience in e-commerce, DTC, or social commerce, ideally in the beauty, health, or wellness industry.
    • Hands-on experience managing TikTok Shop platforms and Shopify.
    • Deep understanding of consumer psychology in CPG, skincare, supplements, or personal care products.
    • Skilled in collaborating with content creators, influencers, and performance marketing teams.
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities and trend cycles.
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a focus on aligning marketplace efforts to profitability targets.
    • Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
    • Creative eye for high-converting product content and social-first storytelling.
      Bonus Points:
    • Past experience with TikTok Live Selling, beauty demos, or education-led content.
    • Familiarity with Klaviyo, Attentive, and Rebuy or other e-commerce tech stack tools.
    • Network of beauty/wellness creators or TikTok affiliates.
    • Knowledge of FDA, FTC, or claims-compliance considerations for health/wellness brands.
