eCommerce Category Manager Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and driven eCommerce Category Manager to join their team in the United States. Reporting to the Chief Merchandising Officer, you will be responsible for managing the overall financial performance and strategic direction of your portfolio and related third-party marketplaces. You will oversee product selection, pricing strategies, vendor relationships, and marketing collaboration to ensure our website and related brands are positioned as industry leaders. This role is pivotal in revenue and profit generation, requiring a self-starter with e-commerce merchandising, brand management, or related experience.  This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a store, contribute to its growth, and drive its market presence with an entrepreneurial spirit.

eCommerce Category Manager Responsibilities

•    Perform market and competitor analysis to inform strategy
•    Align product selection with customer needs and trends
•    Refine assortments based on SKU performance
•    Balance profitability and competitiveness in pricing strategies
•    Forecast demand and set inventory levels
•    Build strong vendor partnerships and negotiate terms
•    Resolve vendor and shipment issues
•    Plan promotions with marketing team
•    Boost sales with site and marketplace collaboration
•    Expand product reach on third-party platforms
•    Deliver insights through performance reporting

eCommerce Category Manager Qualifications

•    3+ years of e-commerce merchandising or brand management experience required
•    Strong market research and competitor analysis experience required
•    Proficiency in ERP systems required
•    Familiarity managing agency and 3rd party merchandising required
