What is the “Dedicated Driver” service? Airspace partners with leading U.S. Medical Device companies to ensure life-saving equipment is transported safely and securely to hospitals in the local region. If a loved one suffers a serious injury, our dedicated drivers are the critical link between warehouses and hospitals, delivering essential surgical tools in real time. Their mission is clear: to equip surgeons with the critical tools for life-saving procedures—because every second counts when a patient is on the table.
About the role: As a Driver Ops Service Coordinator - Dedicated Driver, you will be responsible for managing dedicated driver performance through training, “boots on the ground” support, and performance management programs.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and maintain an effective training program for Dedicated Drivers using our Airspace app in the medical device industry (requires both app-training, comms expectations, and on-the-job operational training)
- Conduct training with drivers prior to their first day onsite
- Regularly visit Med Device customer sites to ensure that training processes, materials, and overall program align to the real-life day-to-day of the drivers and prepare drivers for early success
- Act as a liaison between customer, drivers, driver recruiters, and driver managers during this launch to ensure a smooth service start
- Conduct qualitative driver performance evaluations to assess success of training program and use feedback to iterate training processes and materials
- Provide live support to drivers on tactical problems that arise
- Partner with Driver Ops Managers and Revenue team on quality and performance initiatives (which includes identifying drivers “at-risk” and developing strategic training plans)
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of experience in training / program development
- Ability and willingness to travel nationwide up to 25% of the time
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and ability to build relationships with drivers and customers
- Detail-oriented and excels at active listening
- Action-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to “own” problems and eagerness to drive real-time solutions
- Comfortable with new technology applications

- Salary Range: $75K salary +15% bonus target (Split 50/50 individual/Company)
