Job Description
The Document Controller supports the project team in the utilization of the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) to ensure the efficient access, storage, protection, and distribution of all project documentation. The Document controller distributes information, technical documents, design packages, and other document types and categories to stakeholders as required by the project team.
Responsibilities:
- Handle, uploading, and distributing engineering, contractor/vendor and client documents in the EDMS, including Meta Data.
- Ensure all technical documents, such as reports, drawings and blueprints are collected and registered in system according to established plans and procedures.
- Support all project participants in complying with project procedures while using the EDMS.
- Provide document control support to project participants including support to external users (bidders, vendors, contractors, consultants, and client).
- Audit and review the accuracy of document management attributes in the EDMS.
- Maintain RFI, NCR, and Transmittal, and other project Logs.
- Confer with document originators or appropriate personnel to resolve discrepancies with documents
- Provide reports from the EDMS such as the engineering status and vendor/contractor document submission status, engineering progress measurement, review cycles
- Assist in expediting internal reviews from project team.
- Provide training to users of the system as directed by the Document Control Manager
- Quality check documents prior to registering into the system
- Track and monitor workflows to ensure efficient and timely receipt of documentation
Salary: 86k - 100k Annual

- Excellent technical, communication, organizational, management and planning skills.
- Comfortable in working to tight deadlines.
- Must be able to demonstrate above average computer literacy in all standard Microsoft Office applications and detailed knowledge of Document Control Procedures.
Requirements:
- Secondary degree
- 5+ years related experience.
- Experience with Electronic Document Management Systems is an asset.
