Your Impact 

Are you looking for an opportunity to contribute to meaningful Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in program management and corporate communications? 
 
As a DEIB Intern at Bonterra, you will play an active role in supporting programs that foster an inclusive workplace culture. You will assist in managing DEIB communications, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and maintaining key DEIB resources. Through this role, you will gain valuable insights into corporate DEIB strategies, program execution, and data analysis, all while making a real impact on our organization. 
 
This internship is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to develop their skills in DEIB strategy, communications, and program coordination. 

Program Details  

This will be a paid internship program lasting 12 weeks. This position does not qualify for benefits. The role offers flexible hours and is remote. 

Team Overview 

As part of the DEIB team at Bonterra, you will work alongside professionals committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace. Our team collaborates across departments to develop programs, drive engagement, and ensure DEIB principles are embedded in all aspects of our company culture. 
 
You will have the opportunity to: 

  • Work closely with the DEIB leadership team, internal stakeholders, and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). 

  • Collaborate with functional teams across the organization to support DEIB initiatives. 

  • Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and innovative work environment focused on real change. 

What You'll Do 

✅ DEIB Communications & Content Management 

  • Assist in managing DEIB communications across email and Slack. 

  • Contribute to weekly DEIB messaging in partnership with key business areas. 

  • Maintain and update DEIB Confluence pages, ensuring visibility of featured content and upcoming events. 

 
✅ DEIB eLearning Platform Support 

  • Manage user updates by processing terminations and activations on the DEIB eLearning platform. 

  • Assist with monthly reporting on eLearning engagement and key metrics.

  • Support content updates to keep learning materials fresh and engaging. 

 
✅ DEIB Event Support 

  • Assist with the planning, promotion, and logistics for DEIB-related events. 

  • Attend and provide on-site or virtual support for company-wide DEIB initiatives. 

  • Conduct post-event analysis to measure impact and recommend improvements. 

Requirements 

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program (or relevant professional/volunteer experience). 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor messaging for different audiences. 

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks. 

  • Experience with collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Confluence) is a plus. 

  • Comfortable working with data reporting and content management systems. 

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn DEIB concepts, initiatives, or employee engagement programs. 

  • Experience in program coordination, event planning, or corporate communications. 

  • Understanding of inclusive communication best practices. 

  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn and use AI-powered tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and collaboration.

Compensation

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

 

Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity. 

 

US Base Salary Range: $20 - 25/hr.
