Leidos is seeking Distribution Engineers in Traverse City and Cadillac, Michiga who are passionate about electric utility design engineering. We’re looking for someone who is dedicated to ensuring that every project, no matter how simple or complex, is of exceptional quality. You'll be working directly with clients to make sure that Leidos' reputation for high-quality work is always maintained.

This role is remote in nature, but candidates must be available for regional travel throughout the state of Michigan. Relocation assistance is not available for this role, so suitable candidates should reside in Michigan.


As a Distribution Engineer, You can expect to:

  • Independently develop design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems for Leidos electric utility customers
  • Be comfortable in a field setting: the role will require customer-site visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages. You can anticipate that about 25-30% of your time will be spent collecting field data, and the remainder of your time will be spent working remotely, completing design …
