The annual base salary for this position ranges from $199,200.00 in our lowest geographic market to $471,100.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.Information about benefits can be found here.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a highly accomplished Distinguished Engineer to lead and inspire our engineering & architecture teams responsible for developing and maintaining our foundational privacy, governance & data platforms and delivering great integrated solutions for our users. As a key member of our technology leadership team, you will oversee the design, architecture, and implementation of critical Data & Ai Governance capabilities & platforms, including relational and non-relational databases, streaming platforms, analytical data lakehouse, business intelligence tools, AI/ML and GenAIplatforms. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our data ecosystem.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
• Technical Leadership: Provide strategic direction and technical guidance to engineering teams Data & Ai Governance And Enablement teams.
• Architecture: Design and evolve the overall architecture of our foundational data & governance solutions, ensuring they align with business objectives and meet the evolving needs of our organization.
• Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation, driving the adoption of emerging technologies and best practices in data & governance engineering.
• Team Development: Mentor engineering talent, building high-performing teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Collaboration: Partner with product management, data science, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve complex technical challenges related to data security, governance, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in the transactional and analytical data engineering space.
• Hands-on coding: Actively participating in design, development and debugging activities, demonstrating deep understanding of data engineering principles and practices.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This role reports to the Head of Data & Ai Governance and Enablement and will work closely with Enterprise D&Ai, Enterprise Architecture & Platforms, the Distinguished Engineering Community, and key partners across Domain engineering, Security, Ops and Geos.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field plus 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education, experience or training.
• Proven track record as a Distinguished Engineer or equivalent role in a technology-driven organization.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence, mentorand inspire teams.
• Strong ability to navigate a complex technology landscape objectively and diplomatically.
• Deep expertise in foundational data goveranance software solutions, datataplatforms, including relational and non-relational databases, streaming platforms, data lakehouses, AIML/GenAI platforms and business intelligence tools.
• Deep understanding of privacy and data architecture for transactional and analytical solutions.
• Understanding of AI/ML technologies and their application to data-driven solutions.
• Proven ability to drive innovation and solve complex technical challenges.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with data engineering tools and technologies.
• Active involvement in the open-source community and a history of contributing to relevant projects and/or experience in publishing technical articles.
