We are seeking a Director of Web Strategy who will be responsible for optimizing and delivering the website strategy for all 8x8 web properties. Reporting into the Head of Demand Generation, this role will be responsible for managing our website strategy, delivering a best-in-class user experience, ensuring funnel performance through customer journeys across the website, and aligning with our SEO strategy to support our plans. Additionally, this role requires expertise in guiding and orchestrating robust development workflows, managing stakeholders, creating executive-level presentations and web readouts, and driving UX and CRO A/B testing initiatives.
How you’ll contribute:
Own the website strategy to drive growth, aligning on business priorities and ensuring ongoing optimization that results in traffic, engagement, and revenue growth; working closely with our Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Content Marketing teams
Develop a deliberate information architecture to drive to specific digital experiences and revenue-focused outcomes
Build and maintain development workflows to ensure seamless website updates, feature launches, and cross-functional collaboration
Review and benchmark us against the industry and our competitors’ user experience and performance to ensure we continue to provide a best-in-class experience for our prospects and customers
Lead and manage UX and CRO A/B testing programs to improve website performance and user journey effectiveness
Partner with our Brand, Content, and Product Marketing teams to ensure the website is aligned to our branding, messaging, and product to provide a consistent look and feel
Create comprehensive content strategies aided by but not solely reliant on generative AI tools, and work closely with the editorial (production) team to execute
Perform category audits, competitive analyses, and site audits to advise on when to create new content vs updating/consolidating older content with established rank
Prepare and deliver executive presentations and web readouts that communicate performance insights, key milestones, and strategic initiatives
Manage relationships with key stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment on website strategy and priorities
Who you are:
10+ years experience managing a B2B website from a digital acquisition and customer journey perspective
10+ years of experience working in SEO, and a demonstrable understanding of SEO best practices with a proven track record of driving organic growth
Strong background in building and managing development workflows to support website evolution and performance
Hands-on experience leading UX and CRO A/B testing initiatives with data-backed success stories
Strong analytics and quantitative skills to measure and optimize marketing programs
Ability to identify and map the full customer journey to enable holistic improvements and changes, supported by reporting and data-led analysis and insights
Successful track record working with teams on journey mapping creating a strategy for new customer conversion paths (new landing pages, product pages, blog posts, etc.)
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
Strong stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership
Expertise in preparing and delivering executive-level presentations and performance readouts
Familiarity with Google Analytics and Search Console, and an understanding of how to use this data to improve search visibility and user experience
Expert at Excel or Google Sheets, Google Data Studio, SEMrush, Ahrefs, MOZ or analogous keyword research tools, as well as social listening tools (Buzzsumo, etc.) and crawling tools (Screaming Frog, etc.)
Strong technical SEO foundation and understanding of how code can impact organic visibility
The compensation range reflects the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. 8x8 has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Further, individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, knowledge, success, education and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock. Certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales variable compensation incentives based on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
Salary Ranges:
