Job Title: Director, UGG Strategy

Reports to: Sr. Director, Strategy & Business Development

Location: Goleta – CA, Los Angeles - CA

The Role

Brand Strategy Development and Execution

  • Support the development, execution and measurement of a well-articulated, multi-year strategy for the UGG brand – leveraging strategic thought-structuring, business case development, external (category, competitor) and internal analysis, and presentation development
  • Support Board of Directors Meetings through thought partnership, presentation development and overall, end to end project management
  • Support the shaping of annual budget and development of investment theses behind major brand strategic initiatives

Strategic Initiatives Development and Execution

  • Support the identification, analysis and articulation of new growth opportunities for the brand leveraging internal and external (consumer, category and competitive) insights
  • Work closely with brand planning, consumer insights, and other cross-functional brand and regional partners to coordinate the offense on strategic initiatives

Market and Competitive Intelligence

  • Lead quarterly competitor review with broader corporate strategy team of 1 UGG-relevant competitor – dissecting product, marketing and marketplace strategies and drawing recommendations and thought-starters for the ELT and UGG Leadership Team
  • Support ad-hoc deep dives into market sizing, competitor movements and category dynamics

Deckers Corporate Strategy Coordination and Support

  • Support the Senior Director of Corporate Strategy and Development through ‘connecting the dots’ between the UGG Strategy and Strategic Initiatives to the broader corporate strategy – tracking progress of strategic initiatives underpinning the UGG 5Y Brand Plan
