The Director of Talent Acquisition & Development plays a crucial role in leading the recruitment efforts of the organization. This role involves overseeing the entire recruitment process, from identifying workforce needs, identifying and selecting the right talent, creating an amazing candidate and onboarding experience, and developing current talent to grow within the organization. The Director of Talent Acquisition & Development collaborates with departmental heads and senior leadership to understand their hiring requirements and develops effective strategies to attract, select, onboard, and develop top talent.

What You’ll Do:
Strategic Workforce & Talent Planning:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to understand organizational objectives and align recruitment strategies to meet those goals.
- Develop and implement recruitment plans and strategies to address current and future staffing needs.
- Full lifecycle talent acquisition processes & procedures including, but not limited to:
-Creating appropriate job descriptions, along with associated compensation
-Identifying talent pool and building candidate pipeline
-Drafting and delivering offer letters
-Engaging, screening, and assessing candidates
-Leveraging talent and recruiting technology to enable efficient, effective recruitment
- Develop and maintain relationships with hiring managers to understand their department's staffing needs.
- Direct the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
- Utilize various recruitment channels (e.g., job boards, social media, professional networks) to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
Leadership Development & Recruitment
- Develop programs to Identify, attract, and hire individuals for management, senior-level and executive positions within the organization.
- Develop programs to Identify, groom, mentor and promote current Team Members for management, senior-level and executive positions within the organization.
Diversity Recruitment:
- Develop programs that seek to attract, hire, and retain employees from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, genders, ages, races, religions, sexual orientations, and abilities.
- Key aspects of diversity recruitment may include but are limited to: broadening the talent pool, unbiased hiring practices, inclusive position description, diverse interview panels.
- Through recruitment practices, create a more inclusive and representative workforce that reflects the diversity of the Gravity Haus community.
Employer Branding and Candidate Experience:
- Work with the marketing and communications teams to enhance the organization's employer brand and value proposition.
- Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
Compliance and Policy Adherence:
- Stay up-to-date with employment laws and regulations to ensure recruitment practices comply with legal requirements.
- Establish and enforce recruitment policies and procedures to maintain consistency and fairness.
Metrics and Reporting:
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality of hire) to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
- Generate regular reports to provide insights and recommendations for process improvement.
Onboarding and Integration:
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
- Develop and implement onboarding programs to facilitate successful integration into the organization.
Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, job boards, and other talent acquisition vendors.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts and agreements as necessary.
Learning & Talent Development / Succession Planning
- Work closely with senior management and department heads to identify training needs and priorities.
- Identify current and future skill gaps and create plans to address them. ? Through cross-collaboration with senior leaders, develop and implement leadership training programs to cultivate future leaders within the organization.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the organization.
- Develop and maintain internship programs.
- Support succession planning by identifying and developing high-potential employees.
Team Leadership (long-term)
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of recruiters, coordinators, and support staff to ensure effective execution of recruitment activities.
- Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in recruitment, with 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, employment laws, and compliance.
- Proven track record of implementing successful recruitment strategies and achieving hiring goals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using recruitment software (Paylocity preferred) and applicant tracking systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel to various GH locations to assist as needed, including travel and participation at career fairs and hiring events..
- Ability to work at/on computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to travel to schools and colleges to present and represent Gravity Haus.
