As the Director of engineering for the Provider connections group, you will lead a dynamic team dedicated to building the world’s largest healthcare data connectivity platform. Your role is pivotal in driving the adoption and scalability of our connectivity solutions, contributing to the growth and success of our network of providers and requestors of healthcare data. The work that this team does supports all of Datavant’s data retrievals from Providers and as such ultimately defines the future and success of our business.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the development and growth of our engineering team consisting of managers and individual contributors dedicated to building our data connectivity suite of products and solutions.
  • Define and drive the technical roadmap for Datavant’s core data connectivity platform.
  • Collaborate closely with product and operations teams to deliver valuable solutions to our customers.
  • Champion product innovation processes and initiatives.
  • Lead impactful efforts hands-on, ensuring high-quality execution.
  • Serve as a strong communicator, coach, and mentor within the organization.

What You Bring:

  • 15+ years of engineering experience with substantial leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of shipping products and scaling engineering operations.
  • Experience in data access or data connectivity in healthcare or similarly regulated industries.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interface effectively across different organizational functions.
  • Expertise in enterprise system architecture and SaaS product development.

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated salary range for this role is  $220,000- $280,000.
