The anticipated salary range for this role is between $175,000.00 and $205,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualification, experiences, and analysis of current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC MANUBANK offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Overall Role
We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven Product Marketing Director to lead our product marketing team. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping Jenius Bank’s marketing strategy to align marketing activities with business objectives that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in driving integrated campaigns, marketing attribution, budget management, and cross-functional leadership.
You will leverage consumer and market insights to create compelling narratives that differentiate our products and drive growth. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires collaboration across marketing, product, finance, and data teams to deliver breakthrough campaigns.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and oversee integrated product marketing strategy, aligning it with business goals and long-term company objectives.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and analytics teams to ensure campaigns drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
• Partner with leadership to identify growth initiatives and translate them into actionable marketing plans.
Integrated Marketing:
• Lead a high-performing integrated marketing team to create and execute multi-channel campaigns, ensuring consistent messaging and measurable outcomes.
• Champion innovative marketing strategies, leveraging consumer + cultural insights, brand strategy and data analytics.
• Help define KPIs and metrics to measure the success of campaigns, ensuring alignment with business outcomes.
Budget Management:
• Manage the annual marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
• Collaborate with Leadership and Finance to streamline processes for real-time marketing budget tracking, reporting, and optimization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Serve as a liaison between marketing and product teams to ensure seamless integration of marketing efforts with broader business objectives.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across teams.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members, building a strong and motivated, diverse team culture.
Qualifications and Skills
• 10+ years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in consumer product marketing or growth marketing
• Proven expertise in fintech or consumer banking with a deep understanding of customer acquisition and engagement strategies
• Strategic thinker with a bias for execution— able to craft high-level strategy while rolling up sleeves to execute
• Experience with customer research and insights—translating data into actionable marketing strategies
• Strong analytical mindset, comfortable with data-driven decision-making
• Excellent storytelling skills—able to craft compelling narratives that drive action.
• Cross-functional leadership experience—comfortable working with diverse teams across product, marketing, finance, and other business units

• An entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, leadership, creativity, balance of proactive and reactiveness and drive for results
• Able to manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities simultaneously while maintaining excellent and accurate work
• Multi-Channel marketing and direct response experience, including direct mail and digital
• A passion for leveraging data, metrics and insights to drive results and learnings
