About the job 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Technology Product Management who is passionate about solving complex challenges at the intersection of revenue cycle and technology to join our organization. This leadership role is responsible for driving enterprise value through defining strategic product vision and execution roadmaps, aligning teams and leaders, and providing thought leadership and actionable recommendations. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader capable of driving innovation, aligning teams, and delivering significant value to both the organization and its customers. They will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, interpersonal skills and results achievement.  This position requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution as the leader develops the strategy and vision for the 3-year plan and then works to execute and make that vision a reality, while managing delivery teams and their priorities.

This position will report to our AVP Product Management and will have multiple direct reports. The role focuses on driving outcomes within the healthcare billing, collections, denial management, and self-pay space.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and articulate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with organizational goals and market demands
  • Communicate this vision effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from executive leadership to individual contributors
  • Drive enterprise value for designated customer segments or product portfolios
  • Identify and capitalize on market and business opportunities to enhance product offerings and revenue streams

Planning and Stakeholder Alignment 

  • Define and align plans with leadership and stakeholders; solution planning, analysis, and delivery
  • Collaborate with and align multi-disciplinary stakeholders (including engineering, Operations, sales, marketing, and customer success teams) around a common strategic direction, creating artifacts to help others achieve understanding
  • Foster a culture of cooperation and shared objectives across departments
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle. Leads from Concept to Value. Comfortable and proven success working in and getting out of ambiguity.
  • Plan and facilitate discovery and refinement sessions for complex topics and ideas to develop the roadmap 

Thought Leader

  • Provide thought leadership in technology product management, staying abreast of industry trends and innovations
  • Leading teams from concept to launch; defines strategic direction and execution roadmaps; aligns roadmaps to business value and outcomes

Leadership and People Management

  • Serve as a people leader with full HR responsibilities for a team of product managers and analysts
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Align teams and senior leaders across the organization to support product initiatives
  • Foster strong relationships with operations, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success teams

Product Performance

  • Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success
  • Analyze market and business data and customer feedback to inform product decisions and drive continuous improvement 

Qualifications

  • 7 years of related product job experience, including 3-5 years of people management experience 
  • Demonstrated vision and strategy formulation and critical thinking skills, including experience developing and executing an iterative roadmap
  • Proven track record of successfully defining, launching, and managing complex technology products
  • Demonstrated program management experience or managing through significant change initiatives (impact across multiple business units/functional areas) with vision, roadmap, and plan
  • Experience building effective relationships and ability to influence and align senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Proven leadership ability in guiding and inspiring product management teams and getting work done through others
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and working in Agile development teams
  • Experience in Revenue Cycle Management or related healthcare field.  Back RCM preferred (billing, collections, denial management)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively while presenting complex information to technical and non-technical audiences, both internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and all levels of management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field; MBA preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in developing solutions using machine learning and Generative AI
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced growing environment
  • Understanding of organization context and be able to identify and engage relevant stakeholders to remove barriers
