Position Summary

The Director of Procurement Strategy & Real Estate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives. This role will oversee procurement across various categories—including real estate, capital expenditures, goods, and services—while ensuring cost optimization, compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of real estate management, and a proven track record in vendor and supplier relations.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy Development & Execution

  • Develop and implement a strategic procurement framework aligned with corporate goals.
  • Optimize procurement processes to drive cost savings and improve value across the organization.
  • Establish and oversee category management strategies for real estate, capital expenditures, services, and goods.

Real Estate Procurement & Management

  • Design and execute a real estate strategy that supports business operations and expansion.
  • Lead lease negotiations, renewals, and portfolio management to optimize costs and operational flexibility.
  • Oversee property management, ensuring cost-effective maintenance, security, and compliance with regulations.

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
  • Develop supplier evaluation metrics to track performance, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure all procurement activities, including real estate transactions, comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Implement sustainable procurement initiatives, including environmentally responsible sourcing.

Financial Management & Budgeting

  • Oversee procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effective spending and alignment with financial goals.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for real estate deals, capital expenditures, and operational expenses.
  • Provide senior leadership with data-driven reports on procurement performance and cost savings.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Enterprise Support teams (e.g. Finance, Legal, and Operations) as well as Business Line Leaders to align procurement with business needs.
  • Develop, mentor, and retain top procurement talent, with a focus on real estate expertise.

Technology & Process Optimization

  • Leverage procurement and real estate management technology to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce administrative burdens.
  • Utilize data analytics for strategic sourcing, vendor management, and real estate decision-making.

Strategic Sourcing & Market Intelligence

  • Monitor market trends and real estate developments to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Lead high-level negotiations for procurement and real estate contracts, securing optimal terms.
  • Develop sourcing strategies that enhance supplier partnerships and cost efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or real estate management, with a strong strategic focus.
  • Expertise in lease negotiations, real estate portfolio management, and contract negotiations.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget management and cost analysis.
  • Experience leveraging ERP procurement and real estate management technologies. Oracle experience preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of talent across multiple US geographic markets. The base pay for this position across all US geographic markets ranges from $150,000 /year to $175,000/year. Pay is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits.
