Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Director, Pharmacy Performance-Health Plan.

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: This position is 100% remote.

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Job Description Summary

This position will monitor pharmacy trends and the pharmacy budget, including financial modeling, planning & forecasting, supporting strategic initiatives, and pharmacy reporting. This position will report to the Vice President of Pharmacy- Health Plan.

Strong business analysis skills (including the use of business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI)  and Health Plan/PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Managers) experience are critical for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leadership around the financial and operational objectives of the pharmacy benefit.
  • Support the oversight of our PBM contract, including financial guarantees and other contractual terms and invoicing.
  • Requires close collaboration with other management in the pharmacy department, as well as coordination with IT, finance, sales, and government performance areas.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum 3 years Healthcare Management experience
  • Pharmacy/PBM 3 years (preferred)
