Director Performance Groups Implementation

What you will be doing:
The Director Performance Groups is accountable for the success of one or more of Premier’s Performance Groups including Accelerated Supply Chain Endeavor (ASCEND). The purpose of performance groups is to achieve rapid improvements in supply chain performance and efficiency by way of contracting, standardization and other unique and differentiated sourcing strategies. This position is responsible for overall program development, growth, project management, oversight committee and/or work group management, member and supplier program satisfaction. This position works in collaboration with the Field Force, Sourcing, Product Management, IT, Operations, Marketing/Communications, Suppliers, project sponsors and other internal and external stakeholders to develop and operationalize the program. The Director facilitates the resources and activities necessary to work with the cohort of hospitals participating in the initiative to reach their objectives. This position works with project sponsors to develop as needed resources, programs, reporting, and tools to enable cohort hospitals to achieve rapid supply chain improvement. The Director continually sells the value proposition to gain new program members, as well as retain existing participants.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibility #1
Performance Group Program Strategy
• Develop and maintain overall program plan(s), which entails all details of the program including timelines, tasks, resources, growth opportunities, program statistics etc.
• Work with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and expectations in order to enhance appropriate program offerings
• Review business results against plan and develop action plans to address performance opportunities
Responsibility #2
Manage Key Performance Group Program Activities
• Sell the value proposition to gain new program members and retain existing members
• Work in collaboration with all performance group teams, the field, sourcing and other key stakeholders to establish industry recognized metrics for tracking and documenting member value; operationalize business process for member reporting of metrics
• Supervise the work of the Performance Group team(s) so that the cohorts are managed efficiently and knowledge transfer occurs routinely
• Monitor program participation through compliance tracking
• Communicate all program information appropriately to all necessary stakeholders.
• Ensure problem resolution occurs, thereby furthering program development and momentum.
Responsibility #3
Committee Management
• Manage Oversight Committees and /or work groups.
• Oversee the scheduling and logistics of committee and or work group meetings.
• Establish meeting agendas, facilitate committee meetings, document actions, and ensure notes are taken and distributed by the team
• Develop and present reports to the Committees and or work groups
Responsibility #4
Program Communication
• Communicate important program information to members, suppliers, the field and key stakeholders
• Respond to member inquiries and questions immediately
• Oversee content for marketing materials, press releases, etc.
• Act as supplier liaison for programs, address issues on behalf of program members with suppliers to ensure issue resolution
Responsibility #5
Resource and Department Management
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, coaching, mentoring and growth of staff
• Provide constructive feedback as necessary
• Ensure budget is maintained and efficiency is maintained
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide appropriate coordination of the program and all related projects for effective use of shared resources
Other Activities
• Other responsibilities as necessary based on various program requirements
Required Qualifications
Work Experience:
Years of Applicable Experience - 7 or more yearsEducation:
Bachelors (Required)
Preferred Qualifications
Skills:
Process improvement skills
Solid knowledge and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Internet Explorer
Ability to complete contract negotiations and analyses in a timely, complete and accurate fashion
Experience:
Contracting and Negotiations skills with health care suppliers
Education:
Masters (MS, MA, MBA) preferred.
