USA - Pennsylvania - North Wales (Upper Gwynedd), United States

Job Description

Our company is dedicated to delivering innovations that extend and improve the lives of people worldwide. We are committed to supporting accessibility to medicine, providing new therapeutic options, and collaborating with governments and payers to help people who need our medicines and vaccines gain access to them. We focus on innovation, translating breakthrough science into innovative medicines, and launch execution excellence to help people globally. We are currently recruiting for two directors in Global Marketing for Ophthalmology.

For more than 35 years, our company has been committed to scientific research and discovery (R&D) in ophthalmology. Today, we are developing a series of options designed to help people manage and treat eye conditions, with the goal of reducing the growing burden of eye diseases worldwide. We remain committed to working together with our partners in the global ophthalmology community to address the complex challenges that impede progress toward improving eye health.

Our ophthalmology portfolio has been significantly strengthened by recent acquisition. Multiple assets are under development for the treatment of diabetic macular edema and neovascular age-related macular degeneration. The portfolio aims to provide potentially first-in-class therapeutic options for patients suffering from serious retinal diseases. These roles are critical in helping our company build a leadership position in ophthalmology.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategy, positioning, segmentation, value proposition, messaging, go-to-market, and commercial models for ophthalmology assets.

  • Lead scientific strategy, co-positioning for the ophthalmology portfolio, including early pipeline assets.

  • Develop, lead, and implement the global medical education strategy to help build global leadership in Ophthalmology, ensuring the commercial vision is integrated into cross-functional efforts.

  • Develop competitive response planning and congress plans for the franchise.

  • Lead key cross-functional activities such as L3, EGTM, market research, and global forecasting.

  • Lead the Global Commercial Team and collaborate with Regional Commercial Leaders, international markets, and cross-functional partners (medical, policy, outcomes research, access, advocacy, etc.) to optimize the value of ophthalmology assets.

  • Lead the commercial transformation and leadership of Ophthalmology, including new ways of working, embedding advanced analytics, evolving the commercial models, and building value for patients, payers, and healthcare professionals.

  • Collaborate with market access and pricing teams to develop and implement global market access strategies for ophthalmology assets.

  • Drive forward digital and data analytics, customer and market insights to improve commercial excellence and support consistent execution at the local country level.

  • Inform Medical and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) publication planning.
