Product overview:

We build Hubstaff for SMB and mid-market companies, hiring globally, and generally doing client facing work. Most of our time is spent on our web application that delivers data to managers and team leads to help them understand the work that their distributed team is doing. At its core, Hubstaff is a time tracking and proof of work tool. Over the years, we’ve built in a wide range of workforce management features as well as productivity metrics. We are focused on increasing transparency for teams, saving time for admins and managers, and increasing productivity for everyone. We have customers who depend on our product to run their business, and we’re excited to continue improving Hubstaff for everyone who uses it. 

The Role: 

As the Director of Product Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Hubstaff's product suite while leading and mentoring a team of talented Product Managers. This position requires a dynamic leader who can inspire and guide the team and get the most out of people. You will drive the product vision, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs to accelerate growth and innovation. Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Leadership: Help define and execute the product vision and strategy in alignment with the company's goals and market opportunities.

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Product Managers to achieve their full potential and deliver impactful product outcomes.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with executive leadership, sales, marketing, and customer success to ensure product alignment with business priorities.

  • Customer-Centric Approach: Engage with customers, analyze feedback, and gather insights to inform product decisions and prioritize features that enhance user experience.

  • Metrics and Performance: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.

  • Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to identify new opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

  • Product Roadmap Ownership: Develop and maintain a clear and compelling product roadmap that balances short-term goals with long-term vision.

Desired skills & experience: 

  • 7+ years of experience in product management within a B2B SaaS environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and scaling product teams.

  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to balance high-level vision with tactical execution.

  • Hands-on experience working with development teams in an Agile environment.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Data-driven mindset with experience in using analytics to drive product decisions.

  • Deep understanding of workforce management, and payments-related solutions is a plus.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high ownership, remote-first environment.
