Summary of Position

The Director of Product Management will be expected to grow the value and utility of the Teladoc Health product portfolio to ensure quality clinical delivery while exceeding client and member service levels agreements.  

 

This role will assume end-to-end ownership strategic client initiatives and client reporting and analytics while collaborating with various Teladoc Health teams, including product management, engineering, marketing, legal, support, and client management.  The Director of Product Management will be responsible for becoming the subject matter expert on each product line with ownership for strategy and tactical execution related to operationalizing and scaling products and strategic initiatives.   

 

The role demands strong product management experience, implementation of product management processes, leadership skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and expertise in all aspects of developing and delivering products to large scale demands.  The Director of Product Management will drive market-leading initiatives and solutions that align and drive the overarching Teladoc Health strategy. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and implement strategic improvements to products, and services in line with department or business unit strategy and overarching business impact. 

  • Work with organization executives to translate business and client objectives into product capabilities that deliver those objectives. Foster these relationships so that the product management team is leading the conversations that drive business model impact.  

  • Direct the product processes including maintaining a roadmap, enhancing performance, development of iterative product requirements and changes to meet designated KPIs.  

  • Analyze product performance metrics in partnership with all stakeholders and use this data to improve existing products and identify new product opportunities.  

  • Develop and enhance methods to capture and utilize member and client needs, wants and desires to inform the product development process.   

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, resolve conflicts, and remove impediments for development teams.  

  • Manage individual Product Managers, establish goals relevant to roles and provide direct constructive performance reviews to build skills and expertise.

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • 10+ years in Product Management; 5+ years managing Product Managers. 

  • Experience working within healthcare, health plans, or healthcare consulting.  Must have familiarity with healthcare regulations, trends, and technologies. 

  • Proven track-record managing and developing people to achieve maximum performance and impact to the organization.  

  • Strong ability to understand and prioritize client needs and requests. 

  • A curious and open-minded process related to solving complex business problems, with a knack for synthesizing and prioritizing stakeholder request and key requirements to solve those problems.  

  • Experience in identifying, analyzing, and using data to independently test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success with attention to detail.  

  • Fluency with technology and operationally focused products.  

  • Experience with Agile development processes to manage product lifecycles efficiently. 

  • Understanding of relevant development technologies with the ability to translate business requirements to engineering teams.  

  • Experience with rapid growth products and transitioning from MVP to scale.  

  • Ability to effectively present information to broad audiences.  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here Teladoc Health Benefits 2024. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
